Partnership Announcement

The purpose of the partnership between the Mediterranean Film Festival of Tetouan and the International African Film Festival of Khouribga is to strengthen the spirit of cooperation and collaboration and to create a secure framework for the exchange of experiences and expertise between the two festivals, infused with a cinephile spirit and love for the arts. It is also important to value the specificity of each showcase. The first is connected to the Mediterranean space, while the second is linked to the Atlantic Ocean space and the depth of Africa, thus highlighting the cultural and civilisational richness of Morocco. With the aim of ensuring the joint defence of the right of Moroccans to intelligent and elevated entertainment, through festivals that respect their expectations and contribute to their knowledge of global art experiences, this agreement stipulates the following:

– Share experiences to ensure complementarity between the two events, highlighting the cultural and artistic richness of the country, affirming their character as platforms imbued with values of dialogue, openness, and modernity, while defending just national causes.

– Jointly communicate with relevant authorities and advocate for obtaining material and moral support for both film festivals, thereby contributing to promoting the name of Morocco in international cinematic and artistic forums.

– Establish a joint committee to accompany both events in enriching their artistic and cultural programs.

– Task the committee with deliberating on the dates of the sessions of both festivals as well as their key artistic aspects.

– Encourage the genuine contribution of the staff of the Mediterranean Film Festival of Tetouan and the staff of the African Film Festival of Khouribga to the success and enrichment of various aspects of both events
