Presentation :
Since its creation, the TMFF (Tetouan Mediterranean Film Festival) has set the objectives of opening up to schools, at all levels (Primary, College, High School and Superior). It is committed to supporting the educational reform project by trying to make decision-makers aware of the importance of cinema as an educational and didactic tool, capable not only of allowing a healthy communication and varying our teaching, but above all of participating in the training of responsible citizens, aiming to develop their country, eager to participate in the major projects initiated by HM Mohamed VI and attached to the universal values of peace, freedom and tolerance.
Indeed, at each edition, the Festival, works to introduce young audiences to the techniques of cinematographic language and to the reading of the filmic image, devotes a large part of its programming to workshops, internships, Masterclasses and screenings for children and teenagers.
This openness to children and youth has become, through publications, an established ritual in the festival’s approach, especially since our country needs to train professionals and find new talents that will enrich Moroccan cinema. In addition, it is a promising sector that opens up certain employment prospects.
