Synopsis

After being violently called out by a stranger, Joachim believes he is the reincarnation of a Serbian soldier who died on the very day he was born. He embarks with his friend Alice and a small film crew on a journey to Bosnia to track back details of his former life. In a country haunted by war, Alice will manage to make him reach immortality.

Aude Léa Rapin

Aude Léa Rapin is a screenwriter and a director who graduated from La Fémis’ screenwriting course. She first directed two documentaries, ENCLAVE (Étoile de la Scam 2015) and NINO’S PLACE (Prix du Grand Reportage 2009 at Geneva International Film Festival) before moving on to fiction with LA METEO DES PLAGES (2014), screened at various international festivals. She then directed the award-winning film Ton Coeur au Random (2015) which won the Grand Prize at the Clermont-Ferrand International Film Festival, and Que vive 1’empereur (2016), screened at the Locarno Film Festival. Heroes don’t die (2019), her first feature film, was selected for the 58th Critics’ Week.
