Tetouan Workshops – Open for 2024

The Tetouan Mediterranean Film Festival Foundation launches its new addition
‘Tetouan workshops – Call for Scripts in development (feature films – feature documentaries)‘ for the next edition of the Festival which will take place from April 27 to May 4 2024.
Tetouan workshops will be:
– Selection of scripts in development (feature films – feature documentaries).
– Pitching training with professionals.
– Professional meetings during Tetouan Industry Days.
– Pitching in front of an international Professional jury.

PARTICIPATION RULES

FCMT 2024

• This call is open to directors, screenwriters and producers based in Mediterranean countries.
• Directors must have already produced a short or a feature film or a documentary and the screenwriter should have written at least one script.
• Applicants may submit only one project.
• The files must be sent complete for the application to be considered.
• Participating projects may have a producer, but it is not necessary to already have one in order to submit the application.
• For scripts, they must be written in Arabic, French or English.
• A pre-selection committee made up of film professionals decides on the 10 to 15 projects to enter the competition.
• The candidates chosen during the preselection will go before a professional jury to present and defend their projects.
• The jury announces the three best scripts that will have the following prizes, with a possibility that these three winners will have residencies or participation in international festivals as well:

– 1st prize: 70,000 MAD

– 2nd prize: 50,000 MAD

– 3rd prize: 30,000 MAD

• The chosen candidates are invited by the Festival, which pays for their stay and their travel.
