Tétouan Workshops 2025 – Announcement

The Tétouan Mediterranean Film Festival Foundation is launching the third edition of the TÉTOUAN WORKSHOPS as part of the upcoming Festival, scheduled to take place from April 26 to May 3, 2025.

Tétouan Workshops Include:

  • Call for Script Development Fund Applications
  • Pitch Training with an expert
  • Industry Day’s: Professional meetings with a diverse panel of producers and distributors from both shores of the Mediterranean.

General Rules

  • This call for development fund applications is open to filmmakers and producers from Mediterranean countries.
  • It applies to feature-length scripts (fiction and documentary).
  • Applicants must have directed at least one short or feature-length fiction or documentary film.
  • Each candidate may submit only one project.
  • Applications must be complete to be considered.
  • Submitted projects must have a producer attached.
  • Scripts must be written in Arabic, French, or English.

Selection Process

  • A pre-selection committee, composed of film professionals, will choose 10 to 12 projects.
  • Pre-selected candidates will present and defend their projects before a professional jury.
  • The jury will award prizes to the three best scripts:
    • 1st Prize: 50,000 MAD
    • 2nd Prize: 40,000 MAD
    • 3rd Prize: 30,000 MAD

Registration Process

Registration involves two steps:

  1. Online Registration at: www.festivaltetouan.org
  2. Email Submission of the complete application in a single PDF file to: cinemedtet@gmail.com

The PDF must include the following elements in this order:

  • The full script (or a detailed treatment for documentaries)
  • A short synopsis
  • Director’s Note and Producer’s Note (each limited to 250 words)
  • Biography
  • Provisional Poster of the film (if available)

Both the online registration and email submission must be completed simultaneously. The final deadline for submissions is January 31, 2025, at midnight (GMT+1).

Note: Projects missing required documents in the PDF or online form will not be considered.

Important Dates

  • January 31, 2025: Deadline for script submissions
  • March 15, 2025: Announcement of selected projects

For each project, one candidate will be invited by the Tétouan Workshops, which will cover their travel and accommodation costs.
