Egyptian actor Youssef Chaâbane has passed away

Egyptian actor Youssef Chaâbane died on Sunday, February 28th, 2021 in a hospital in Cairo at the age of 90.

The deceased was hospitalized after contracting the Coronavirus, he was admitted to intensive care following the deterioration of his state of health.

Born in July 1936, the disappeared from the Egyptian and Arab cultural scene, played many roles in television, cinema and theater, for over 50 years.

He was elected in 1997, as president of the Egyptian Actors Union.

The late Youssef Chaâbane left the cultural and artistic scene in 2017, after having played more than 250 main roles in different works and productions.
