Synopsis

Returning from the Syrian front, Zina was separated from her twomonth-old child, while Djo realizes that she is pregnant. Immersing herself in mutism, Djo expresses only the horrors she experienced in the novel she is writing. Nadia, a human rights lawyer, Dora, a doctor and Driss, a young homosexual banned from all schools, join forces to help Zina and Djo rebuild their life. Will they be able to deliver Zina and Djo from their dark secrets and oppose their unjust society?

Nouri Bouzid

Nouri Bouzid was born in 1945
in Sfax, is a Tunisian director and screenwriter. From 1968 to 1972, he studied cinema in Belgium. He is assistant director on the shooting of the Larron of Pasquale Festa Campanile in 1979. He spent five years in prison for his political beliefs. In 1986, his first feature film, L’Homme de cendres was selected at the Cannes Film Festival. His next film, Les Sabots en or, is also in 1988.Bezness, through the portrait of a man played by Abdellatif Kechiche. In addition to his own films, he participates in the writing of the dialogues of Halfaouine, the child of the terraces and Un été à La Goulette by Férid Boughedir, Le Sultan of the Medina by Moncef Dhouib but also The Silences of the Palace and The Season of Men by Moufida Tlatli.
